The Pasotti men's black umbrella with a hand-carved wooden dog head handle is a statement piece for a man who likes character in classic accessories. Handmade in Italy.
The canopy is black with a fine cream pin-dot pattern: from a distance it reads as a quiet texture, up close as a neat print. The umbrella works equally well with a dark overcoat and a business suit.
The canopy is single-layer, made of 100% polyester, and rests on 8 ribs; from below you see the reverse side of the same fabric. The umbrella opens at the press of a button (semi-automatic) and closes by hand. When furled, it is held by a fabric strap with a snap button, and a silver-tone ring with the Pasotti name sits where the canopy meets the handle.
The handle is carved from wood in the shape of an Airedale terrier's head: the wiry beard, brows and ears are worked by hand, and darker toning brings out the relief and the wood grain. Below the head is a black grip section with a polished silver-tone collar.
