A dark brown leather convertible handbag from the Tony Perotti Contatto collection, with snap fasteners along the top and bottom edges that change the silhouette from a wide business tote to a compact rounded shape.
Made in Italy from soft matte calf leather with a fine pebbled grain. Moro is a very deep brown — close to black in low light, and clearly warm and chocolate-toned beside the black of the same model. The leather is supple rather than structured, so the bag holds whichever shape it is fastened to. Hardware is a dark silver tone, including the snap studs, the zip pullers and the squared brackets that anchor the handles.
With the snaps at the top corners and along the base undone, the bag opens out into a roomy trapeze that takes A4 documents, a tablet or a small laptop flat. Fastened, the sides draw in and the base narrows into a rounded, compact silhouette. Intermediate settings are also possible, and a stiffening insert in the base supports the rounded shape.
One main compartment closes with a zip across the full width. Inside, the bag is lined with branded silk woven with the repeating Tony Perotti name, with a hologram authenticity tag stitched into the seam. There is a zipped pocket, slots for cards and a pocket sized for a phone and pens. A zipped pocket is positioned on the front panel and a second one on the back.
Two rolled handles of medium length allow the bag to be carried in the hand or over the arm. There is no detachable shoulder strap. A metal Tony Perotti signature plate is set into the lower front.
