Made in Italy from soft matte calf leather in a deep red. The compass rose — the Cortina emblem — is embossed low on the front; the edge is stitched in a matching tone.
Open it and the files fan out from the centre, so you can thumb through a stack of cards without pulling any of them free. Behind them, each inner panel carries a full-height pocket — the place for your own cards, kept apart from the ones you have collected.
Closed it measures 10 × 8 cm and only about half a centimetre thick, so it sits flat in a handbag pocket. There is no clasp.
