A compact pink leather card holder from the Tony Perotti Topkapi collection, designed in a book-style format with space for up to ten cards and a full-width compartment for folded banknotes.
Made in Italy from genuine cowhide polished to a deep shine, in the bright geranium pink the collection is known for; the seams are picked out in a lighter thread. A small gold-tone plate reading TONY PEROTTI sits on the front, the Topkapi mark is embossed inside, and the lining is silk.
The holder folds along its top edge. Inside, one half carries a full-height slip pocket with a slot behind it and the other a stack of slots, providing space for eight cards. An additional slip pocket on each outer side holds two more cards, bringing the total capacity to ten while keeping the holder compact and slim.
Although the Topkapi 1034 includes a long compartment for banknotes, it is not especially convenient for carrying US dollars or euros unfolded: a banknote fits only when folded in half and bends once more when the holder is closed. Even so, this model remains a popular choice for its minimalist format and its ability to carry up to ten cards — eight inside and two in the outer pockets.
