The pen cup is the piece that catches the eye: it looks as if it had been rolled from a sheet of leather, its stitched edge sweeping round the cup in a soft diagonal, and it narrows slightly towards the base. Its rounded lines echo the oval base of the whole set. Beside it, two upright leather panels hold notes, letters or business cards.
