The canopy is a rich red in a two-tone woven fabric with a soft sheen; the underside looks darker, closer to burgundy.
The canopy is single-layer, made of 100% polyester, and rests on 8 ribs. The umbrella is automatic: a press of the button on the grip opens it, a second press folds the canopy, and the shaft is then pushed down by hand. When folded, it is held by a fabric strap with a snap button.
The handle is jeweled openwork brass in a gold tone: a filigree top set with four red rhinestones, a knurled collar, a black grip and a gold-tone chain.
