The Pasotti Gold-Tone Hippo Head Shoehorn crowns a glossy black shaft with a playful hippo head, jaws wide open, and finishes with a blade of natural horn. Handmade in Italy.
The handle is enameled brass: a sculpted hippo head with a polished gold-tone finish, detailed ears and nostrils, and white tusks and teeth. A gold-tone collar joins it to the shaft.
The shaft is wood with a glossy black lacquer finish and carries a black cord for hanging. A gold-tone ring separates it from the blade.
The blade is natural horn, polished smooth and curved to guide the heel into the shoe; its tones shift from dark brown near the shaft to honey and cream at the tip. At 50 cm long, the shoehorn helps reduce the need to bend when putting on shoes.
Horn is a natural material with a very varied palette, so the blade of your shoehorn may be lighter or darker than the one shown in the photos.
