A dark brown leather flap briefcase from the Tony Perotti Italico collection — two buckled straps over a brass key lock, a zip that runs the perimeter to add volume, and a detachable shoulder strap.
Made in Italy from natural bull leather of the top grade, outer layer. The brown is deep and warm, traced throughout by contrasting tan stitching, and every piece of metal is antique brass: the buckles, the catches, the lock, the swivel hooks. The Italico turtle is embossed in the centre of the flap.
The flap is held by two leather straps on brass buckles, each sitting over its own catch, and a small brass lock with a key secures the case on top of that. A zip runs right round the perimeter: open it and the briefcase gains depth, so the same case carries a slim folder one day and a full set of papers the next.
Inside there is one main compartment fitted out for a working day: three card slots, two pen loops, a pocket for stationery, a pocket for a phone, two pockets for small items and a zipped pocket. Under the flap sit three more zipped pockets across the front. The lining is the brand's own printed fabric, and the underside of the flap is finished in suede with the Tony Perotti name embossed across it.
The back carries a full-width zipped pocket at the top and, along the bottom, a pass-through pocket that slides over the telescopic handle of a suitcase. One moulded leather handle sits on brass brackets, and the detachable adjustable shoulder strap is jacquard webbing with leather ends, a leather pad and brass swivel hooks.
