The Pasotti women's black and red umbrella with a scorpion handle pairs a black canopy with a fiery baroque print inside and a bold sculptural scorpion on the handle. Handmade in Italy.
From the outside, the canopy is plain black. Inside, an ornate black damask pattern of scrolls and flowers runs over a red-to-orange ground, so the umbrella reveals its character only when opened.
The canopy is double-cloth: the printed inner layer is part of its construction. Both layers are 100% polyester, and the canopy rests on 8 ribs.
When furled, the umbrella is held by a gold-tone ring engraved with the Pasotti name. The shaft and tip are gold-tone.
The handle is enameled brass: a glossy orange grip ringed with small Swarovski crystals and wrapped by a dark gunmetal-tone scorpion with outstretched claws. A gold-tone collar separates it from the glossy black lower grip.
