The Pasotti women's ivory umbrella with an embroidered sketch design turns a soft ivory canopy into a canvas for fine line drawings: graceful female figures and small red roses stitched in black and red thread. Handmade in Italy.
The canopy is a warm ivory with a satin sheen. The sketches run across several panels in a single continuous line, the way an artist draws without lifting the pen, and each figure is paired with a red rose.
The design is embroidered rather than printed: up close, the lines show as fine chain stitching in black and red.
The canopy is double-cloth and made of 100% polyester. Inside, the canopy is plain ivory, gathered at the top into a fabric rosette.
The umbrella opens and closes by hand (manual). When furled, it is held by a fabric strap with a decorative gold-tone button.
The handle combines an ivory grip with a pearlescent sheen and grey-black marbling, a polished gold-tone collar and a slender gold-tone hook that ends in a small ornamented knob. The shaft is gold-tone as well.
