Made in Italy from soft calf leather with a matte, lightly grained surface. A leather band runs across the front, fastened at each end with a stud and a metal tab; the Tony Perotti metal signature sits on the right-hand pocket. The hardware is silver-tone, and small metal feet on the base keep the leather off the floor.
The main compartment closes on a zip and is divided in two by a zipped section down the middle, so what you need at hand and what you only carry stay apart. The lining, printed with the Tony Perotti name, has zip and slip pockets along the sides and a cord with a ring for keys. A long zip pocket runs across the back panel, below the embossed turtle of the house.
The two handles are leather, riveted to tabs on metal rings, and made to be carried in the hand, over the shoulder, or in the crook of the arm.
